An ODA (Independent service provider) can read any smart meter in the Netherlands after recieving permission from the owner.
As insights in energy usage is privacy sensitive information you don’t just become an ODA. The EDSN (Energy Data Services of the Netherlands) guards this proces and has certified SWYCS as an organization that reads smart meters in a good, reliable and safe manner.
ODA PLUS
The reading of smart meters is now part of the SWYCS IoT platform. Because of this the smart meter data can be used as input for your smart office or building.
Where a standard ODA only gives insight in energy usage, SWYCS can also use this data to turn on or off applicances!
