Sensors & actuators

In a smart building, sensors and actuators work together to automatically optimize processes. Sensors measure real-time data such as temperature, air quality, energy consumption, and occupancy. Based on this data, actuators control systems such as ventilation, lighting, or climate control.

In this way, a building responds immediately to what happens. Via the SWYCS dashboard, all systems are easy to manage and intelligently controlled for greater comfort, energy savings, and efficiency.

Actuators and sensors can be easily installed and are almost invisible.

Generic and vendor-neutral

A specific sensor for every solution, regardless of brand or type.

Secure connections

Communication between the actuator, sensor, and SWYCS IoT platform is secured by encryption.

Maximum support

Sensors can be connected to the gateway both wirelessly and via cable.

Discover the sensors from SWYCS

The quality of the measurement data recorded by a sensor is very important. This data is used in the software to obtain information regarding energy consumption, air quality, or occupancy rate information. That is why SWYCS works exclusively with the best sensors available on the market. Many sensors are equipped with dual measurement functionality to ensure the accuracy of the observations reported by the sensor. Read more about the various SWYCS sensors below!

People Counter
The people counter keeps track of how many people are in a room. The sensor is mounted on the ceiling, wall, or built-in. The sensor monitors how busy a room is and works even in dark rooms. The sensor creates a so-called ‘depth map’ without storing images.

Ambient sensor
The ambient sensors monitor the use of a building or room. The sensor is mounted on the ceiling. This measurement data is used in the software to obtain information about the occupancy rate. The sensor does not record who is in the room.

Indoor Climate Sensor
The indoor climate sensor monitors the indoor climate. This can be simple, such as temperature, CO₂, and humidity, but also more comprehensive, including, for example, ozone, barometric pressure, light, and more. The sensor is mounted on the wall of a room.

Parking sensor
The parking sensors monitor the use of a parking space. The sensor is attached to the floor of the parking space or the ceiling of the parking garage. The sensor does not record who uses the parking space.

Desk Sensor
The desk sensors monitor the use of a workstation. The sensor is attached to the underside of a desktop. The sensor does not record who is using the workstation.

Door Sensor
The door sensor monitors the use of a door. The sensor is easily attached to the door. This measurement data is used in the software to obtain information about the use of a door. The sensor does not record who uses the door.

Water sensor
The water sensor measures the temperature of a water pipe and can be used for Legionella control. The sensor is attached to the pipe.

Water Leak Sensor
The water leak sensor is a sensor that detects the presence of liquids based on conduction. Additionally, it is also possible to measure temperature and humidity. The sensor is mounted on the wall with the end of the conductor directly on the floor.

CO sensor
The CO sensor monitors for the presence of carbon monoxide and triggers an alarm. The sensor is mounted on the wall close to a gas boiler and similar appliances.

Gas Detection Sensor
The gas detection sensors monitor for a potential gas leak and trigger an alarm. The sensor is mounted on the wall close to a gas boiler and similar devices.

Sanitary area sensor
The sanitary area sensor is primarily used for monitoring public toilets. The sensor is mounted above the toilet, on the wall or ceiling. The sensor indicates toilet usage but does not record who uses the toilet.

Discover the actuators from SWYCS

Actuators are smart IoT devices that help you make a building smart. There are numerous different types of actuators in various forms. For example, there are controllers that can control ventilation systems, smart switches that control lighting, and controllers that connect a building management system to the SWYCS IoT infrastructure! All actuators can be operated via a dashboard or automatically controlled by sensor data! Read more below about the types of actuators SWYCS has to offer.

Controller
The controller forms an interface between two systems and manages communication between them. At SWYCS, we offer various controllers for different purposes. They manage the IoT solution and make adding to it easier.

Smart socket
The smart plug is a smart and portable socket that allows various electrical devices to be controlled and monitored. It is available in multiple international socket types and can be used locally or remotely.

Smart Wall Switch
With the smart wall switch, it is possible to easily control lights and electrical appliances locally or remotely. Installation is simple; the smart wall switch adopts the standard switch size and can easily replace traditional switches.

Smart button
The smart button is a button to which various sensors and actions can be linked. The button is designed to be portable or attached to a surface such as a desk. There is also a red button that is primarily used as an SOS alarm.

Sensors and actuators that work together seamlessly

Make your building smarter through the right combination of both

Sensors and actuators together form the foundation of a smart and future-proof building. Whether you want to monitor building occupancy, gain insight into energy consumption, improve air quality, or automatically control processes: the right combination of sensors and actuators ensures that you don’t miss anything and always maintain control over your building.

Sensors collect real-time data, while actuators take immediate action by automatically controlling, for example, ventilation, lighting, or climate control systems. This creates a building that not only measures but also responds directly to the current situation.

These smart solutions have a wide range of applications in offices, healthcare facilities, educational environments, and other sectors where comfort, efficiency, and sustainability are important. Furthermore, SWYCS uses high-quality sensors from Europe instead of Asia, which contributes to a lower CO₂ footprint and a more sustainable solution.
